The City of
Henderson
hosted the 9th annual Super Run Classic Car this past weekend boasting a record turnout of car entries and attendees. Over 1,300 vintage vehicles, street rods and muscle cars were displayed in the Water Street District in downtown
Henderson
and over 130,000 people from across the nation attended the four-day event.
“This year’s Super Run exceeded all our expectations,” said
Andrea Primo
, Director of the Cultural Arts & Tourism Department. “Each year we see an increase in car entries and attendees as the event continues to live up to its reputation as
Southern Nevada
’s largest car show.”
This year’s car show was highlighted by spectacular weather and many milestones including the first time the event hosted three entertainment stages. Additionally, it was the inaugural year for a country music act to perform as a headliner. Rising country music star Keith Anderson performed hits from his new album C’MON on Friday night while oldies favorites The Grass Roots performed songs like “Midnight Confessions” and “Sooner or Later” on Saturday night.
The proceeds generated from this year’s Super Run Classic Car Show benefited several children’s charities and non-profit organizations.
